Jackson’s shotgun


The innkeeper of the Marshall House, James W. Jackson, used this English-made double-barrel shotgun to kill Colonel Elmer Ellsworth as he descended the stairs of the hotel with the Confederate flag he had just removed from the flagpole over the roof.
